JAN. 17TH A DAY OF "MANIFESTING CREATIVITY"

ree

I decided that 2023 would be a year of action rather than inaction. I've made the decision to make an effort to produce some "eye candy" every day, regardless of the motive. The fuel to today's creative process was a shot of Lazy Moon's building on Colonial Drive that was grossly overexposed. I began to think I could make something cool out of it the more I looked at it. The first thing that jumped to mind was why not make it appear vintage.

Overall, very pleased with how this initial phase turned out. The only things I kept thinking about were adding some grain, muting some colors, and taking advantage of the motion blur pictured. As I was scrolling the night away on Behance.com, I found a new challenge. How could I repurpose this image and make a poster out of it? Opened photoshop and went to work. The answer came rather randomly.

Tackling small random ideas like this has really made me find my style. The paper textures, the gradient shapes, and the vibrant colors seem to find their way to me. The purpose of this? NO PURPOSE AT ALL other than sitting down and manifesting creativity. The goal remains the same: create, conversate, raise questions, and continue to better my craft. How are you bettering your craft!?
